Under his Exoplanet production guise, Oscar Van der Knaap has been an important artist for Proton label group since his first work for Particles in 2008 and the "World Soul" EP. Since then, he has gone on to feature heavily in the annals of recent Proton family history with a galaxy of releases and remixes, including the full-length artist album, "Nothing Divides Us Here" on Proton Music in 2011. Echoing the reciprocal nature of his relationship with Proton, Oscar himself says the labels, "quickly became my home". Originally released on Particles in July 2012, Exoplanet's "Mindstream" EP provided further evidence of the Dutchman's considerable talent. With support from James Warren's Visceral show among others, the cerebral, "The Planetarium" is now further showcased with two brand new, brightly shining remixes. 2011 proved to be a breakthrough year for Australian, Kieran Krohn. Producing under his Verve moniker, he quickly established himself as one of the progressive nubreeds to watch with infectious rhythms and emotive melodies omnipresent in his work for the likes of Indigo, Lowbit and Stereo Paradise. 2012 brought Verve to Particles with his fizzing, effervescent "Fusion" on the "Spring Particles" compilation and the groove laden remix of Kobana's "Move Back" in the autumn. The former track is also set for its own full release in 2013. Now, turning his remix talent to Exoplanet, Verve treats us to a very special interpretation of "The Planetarium". A beautifully constructed rhythmic bed ensures a head-shaking groove is present throughout, while the careful interplay of original track components, combined with new production material, produces a work full of considered and varied excellence. Verve is certainly an artist to watch in 2013. Croatian producer Verche has achieved a similarly impressive breakthrough through 2011 and 2012, with tracks signed to Mistique, Balkan Connection and System Recordings. Releases on the latter have seen him remixed by such luminaries as Luis Junior, Ian O'Donovan and Lank. 2012 also provided a further landmark for Verche with the formation of his 'Sangria' imprint, part of the Proton label roster. This impressive vehicle has already seen releases and remixes from 'A Must Have' owner, Jaksa Pavicevic, Pete McCarthey and from Verche himself. Taking on "The Planetarium", Verche has added an extra dimension to Exoplanet's original production material by providing a deep, ethereal feel with the use of sustained pads juxtaposed against a ticking percussive beat and grooved bass line. Additional reverb-laden piano chords on each bar further strengthen the graceful flow of the track. Stellar remixes from Verve and Verche ensure both stars are clear and bright inside Exoplanet's 'Planetarium'. Directed by Jay Epoch AandR by Marina Gerardi Mastered by Cid Inc.
