With Tour de Traum IV we wanted to touch on all the different tempos and styles and give it a real range of mood - yet sustain it all with a feeling of what Traum has been up for the last 6 months. We've combined the introspective with the melancholic; the high tech electronica with the old school nonchalance; the great and forcefulness with the shy and withdrawn. We are happy to include some of our top artists, some even with unreleased tracks, as well as exclusive tracks for Traum from a new generation of producers. We feature a force form the past, and an unheard of collaboration of artists for the first time. Our maxim of not being elitist and dogmatic, rather working as a team of people is what we think we have put into effect here - and some of us think it's maybe the best compilation for some time on our label. The new Tour de Traum starts with Dutch artist Roi Koch, who has brought together in a skilled and fine way, old school ideas of hypnotic melodic techno with the production style of now, creating a constant chill.Luc Angenehm is a German artist, who has the new classic and romantic Germanic identity incorporated in his track . He plays complex themes virtuously, his track has been written with great attention to detail and melody. Indieveed from the Ukraine walks the more silent but electrostatic paths skillfully, combing kinetic catchiness with a nice understatement with his track "Bliss".Gabs track "Light Trace" is a devilishly hooky piece of euphoric techno enhanced with soul-tingling melodies and classic harmonies, "Light Trace" is keeping things steady and emotional.Nicely blending into Dominik Eulbergs "Offenbach", with an jazzy overtime... a track that needs no introduction - it was a highlight on his last EP on Traum.New discovery Reinier Zonnefeld is a multi-talented producer with many faces, here releasing his first track on Traum, "The Reason Of Things" a summer-breeze of a soulful techno track, all painted in golden colours; very hypnotic and deep with nice enveloping sounds, this track gives techno strength and sweetness to the "Traum Tour".Next, we're melting into Gabriel Ananda's unreleased track "Dolle Daps". Gabriel Ananda, as many of you know, has released together with Domink Eulberg two EP's on Traum and has remixed Minilogue for us, and has released on Trapez as well so we are happy to feature him again. His track is a perfect extension of Detroit concepts mixed with the soul of western Germanic modernism - as it has always brought him so many fans worldwide. "Dolle Daps" is sad and happy; powerful and gentle a track full of antagonism captivating and moving.Next up - a track recorded by SQL & Olaf Stuut, both having recorded in the past on MBF, the latter on Traum and Zaubernuss."Ilinc " could be described as a modern Detroit track in the tradition of Carl Craig, it contain a seductive bassline and some of the dissonance of sequential melodies the city has shaped for the last 20 years. "Ilinc" coins that collective spirit with housy hand claps and modulating "introvert" mystifying sequences.Making its way into one of the big turns of the last months, Max Cooper's "Walls"- a seemingly sparse arrangement of kick and bassline component meeting an exclamation of chords - it's done damage to so many dancefloors worldwide, so it had to be on the Tour de Traum. The transition is very smooth Peet's new track "Der Dunkele Kristall" unfolds its metaphysical and rhapsodic side. The track juxtaposes uptempo miniature and sped up movements with revelling romantic string sounds that go under your skin. The first track more on the side of electronica, comes from German legend Sikora who has released on Klang Elektronik, Ongaku and Nummer Schallplatten in the past and has kept himself under the radar."Tage Die Vorbei Sind" makes use of antagonism in a magic way by blending different levels of perception into each other, resulting in moments delicate and electrifying. Sikora uses new ways to make music but transports also feelings from the past which provides Tour de Traum with the versatility it was meant to have. Hubert Kirchner who has also released on Tour de Traum V, and returns with a vibrant track called: "Why Is The Floor Moving". The track has a symphonic vein, and layers melodies as if there was no tomorrow. "Why Is The Floor Moving" is a slow beat track perfect for hours when you are alone. The connecting track is "Listen" by UK producers Aer who was suggested by Zaubernuss artist Morris Cowan. "Listen" starts quite unworldly, empyreal and fantastic and transgresses after the break into a heavy "bassline - chain-compressed modus" that adds the physical side to the already awesome sound creation which is taking place here.Mononoid have written with "Petunia", a Monostyled piece of music but lighter by nature with a robotic sequence and a note of erotism as we have encountered it by Francis Lai - who you might know composed the music for "Rider on the Rain" and "Billitis".Next in line is the debut of Mario Hammer on Traum, with his track "Lonely Robot". The track conveys a bit of an Extrawelt feel in the beginning but mutates into an hypnotic and compelling piece of music. The composition is based more on repetition of one big theme and the small changes within . Step by step also other themes are introduced - such as an analogue sound synth-molulation, and sound that express urgency and accompanies the main theme . We guess this track can be very strong with dj's that go for a stronger organic stream of music rather then for an elaborate and extensive composition and expect extensive play with good DJ's.Next artist, Light Breath, has written with "Rumpus" an outstanding soundtrack that combines the quality of ambient music with electronica to keep a continuous flow of a one theme interaction with others in the course of the track. It is the balance of the track and its seemingly naive and simplistic nature that fascinates. The French artist, Spitbastard, debuts with "Synetrus" on Traum. With a masterfully crafted cinematique track that expresses urgency as well as an apocalyptic brooding feeling in perfection! We are sure this artist will surface with more music in the near future. It was time for another track by Ăśmit Han, who had his debut EP "Die Rose Und Die Nachtigall EP " on Traum in July 2012, and has written an exclusive track for Traum here with "Die Traene Fliesst im Wildbachs Lauf".Ăśmit Han is of Turkish origin and lives in Cologne. His track is raising and lowering its dynamic in waves and keep this intensity till the very end - expressing woe and happiness in one. This track goes way beneath the skin and towards the heart. This track expresses more soul then you can guess.Drol. has released with us a full length EP on Zaubernuss, and returns here with a track for Traum that breaks down the energetic side of the mix and shapes an atmosphere which we feel has a lot in common with Traum's early phase, so to speak - Fairmont, Dinky and Process. "Stamina" is a spirit catcher of a track, moody and introverted musuc with long expanding passages where time stands still. This is a beautiful track.Egokinds debut on Traum is initiated through his track "Fade Me". The Berlin artist works with reverse nature sounds introducing skillfully manipulated vocals to create a secluded "area" where his music can grow and bloom. Electronica meets techno in a sophisticated way.The last track on the Tour de Traum 6, "3 Weeks", comes from Module One, and carries a nice vintage feeling of electronica which ranges from Aphex Twin to Wagon Christ. For sure there is also an ambient feeling to "3 Weeks" which is manifested by the flow and the movements of its sounds.
